Wishing Star Publishing is an award-winning indie house based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Founder Alexandra Hoffman started the house with one mission in mind: publish books that inspire kindness, inclusion, social awareness, understanding, empathy, curiosity, innovation and discovery.

Alexandra also believes in giving back to the community. This August 2023, a new book release is happening, with the book being available for pre-order! 10% of net proceeds during the pre-order will be donated to Casa, a local non-profit organization delivering holistic, culturally safe wrap-around mental health services to Albertans aged three to 18 and their families. CASA provides mental health service to the missing middle – mental health treatment for diagnosed children and youth, in between prevention and promotion in primary and community care, and acute treatment in hospital. As well, during the pre-order, there will be an opportunity to donate books to, Hindi’s Library, an international non-profit that gives books to underprivileged kids around the world!
